Richard has been in the insurance industry since 1998 and with Southern insurance Group since the opening in June of 2008. He is an Agent who specializes in personal lines of insurance including home, auto, health and life. He is a lifelong resident of Central Florida and also holds a broker’s license for Real Estate. He feels this additional license gives him a unique perspective on property protection and the challenges we face in the Central Florida area. He is married to Wendy Bird (who happens to also work with SIG!) and has three beautiful children, Wayne (his fishing buddy), Ava (a singer in his band… well not yet) and Lyla (his little pride and joy). He enjoys writing and playing music as well as playing guitar at the First Baptist Church in Eustis, Florida.
